Setup guide

NumberTV setup guide

From buying the app to typing your first channel number on YouTube TV.

What you need

  • An Android TV or Google TV device
  • A YouTube TV subscription
  • The NumberTV app — $15 on Google Play
  • The NumberTV remote — optional, coming soon

Step 1: Get the app

NumberTV is sold on Google Play only, for $15, one time. Use the button below to open NumberTV on Google Play, then install it on your Android TV or Google TV device.

NumberTV is independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by Google or YouTube.

Step 2: Open the app and allow the permission

Open NumberTV on your TV. It will ask you to turn on its Accessibility permission. This Android permission lets an app act on the screen for you; NumberTV uses it to enter the channel number you type into YouTube TV.

Step 3: Type a channel number

Open YouTube TV and type the channel number. YouTube TV changes to that channel.

To confirm: Girish’s exact steps with real TV screenshots for each step, and how to type the number (TV remote, NumberTV remote or on-screen pad).

Setting up the NumberTV remote

The remote is not in stock yet. Its setup steps, including how it learns your TV’s infrared codes for volume, mute and power, will be added here before it ships. Join the waitlist.
